Jeff Gatesman has a passion for Documentaries. He is the Producer, Director and Cinematographer of the Award Winning feature Documentary Amazonas: The Tears of a Full Moon which is currently in distribution worldwide. His Cinematography credits on Documentaries include Beyond Black Elk: The oral history of the Lakota Sioux; The Whirling Dervishes of Turkey; It's Awright: a short doc on the aging Bluesmen of Phoenix; and the pilot episode for Odyssey's and Ovations; a travel program dedicated to uncovering the art of different cultures around the world.

Gatesman also Produces and shoots the series Feeding The Fire, a cooking show which travels to Firehouses around the country to meet some of America's bravest cooks.

He has also Directed and shot the pilot for Nisa Nature's Adventures, a half-hour children's television show currently being developed as a PBS series.

Gatesman is also the owner of Rocket 88 Studios, a complete digital production/post production facility through which he has recently finished work on the dramatic feature film Scab and is currently producing educational videos for schools.

An avid traveler, Gatesman has shot all over the world, in such places as Belfast, Taipei, London, Johannesburg, Hong Kong, the Dominican Republic, Brazil and the Czech Republic. He is also known for his art photography having garnered rave reviews for his portraits of the Whirling Dervishes, which are currently being represented by Victoria Boyce Galleries.
